Library

The Peringode Poomully Mana library holds an immense collection of books and manuscripts that are illustrative examples of India’s proud cultural heritage. the library holds works on a wide range of subjects namely Ayurveda, Hasthi Ayurveda, Visha chikilsa , Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Ithihasas, Dharmasasthras, Jyotisha, Ganitha, Kosha, Vyakarana, Chandas, Shilpa and Vasthu Sasthra . Thantras, Manthras, Sthothras, Music etc.


The library also boasts a collection numbering up to a few hundreds of Manuscripts written in Malayalam and Grandha Script. It also holds printed copies of various Sanskrit books on the aforesaid subject. The library contains an extremely rare collection of manuscripts on such subjects as Kalaripayattu and Treatments. There is also a treasured copy of extremely rare manuscripts detecting the various aspects of Electroplating. In addition the library holds a wealth of English Malayalam classics besides a variety of books on Modern Science and Law. The library preserves  and maintain a large collection of old periodicals and documents.

The first book that the Tirur Thunchan Smaraka Trust Library chaired by Sri, M.T.Vasudevan Nair, received as donation came from this collection.

All the rooms are decorated and furnished keeping in view to depict the ecstasies of the past, giving the guest a feel of the royal living.
